Description

The Public Education Foundation offers several opportunities for primary-school aged students.  These include:

  • The Vorsay Scholarship

Each of these scholarships provide support and encouragement for a public primary school student entering Year 2 in 2026, throughout their time at primary school.

A bursary amount of $1,000 per year will be paid to one successful applicant for each year of their primary schooling, Years 2-6 (total amount $5,000). Consideration will be given to applicants demonstrating a high potential to thrive in the primary school environment but whose financial situation could prevent them from achieving that potential or participating fully in all aspects of their primary school education.

The scholarship funds are intended to be spent on items including:

  • Literacy and/or numeracy support
  • Stationery and text books
  • Laptop, iPad or other similar device
  • Subject or study related software
  • Printer
  • Internet connection for study at home
  • School excursions and school camps
  • Furniture for study such as desk, chair, lamp etc

If a student leaves public school before the end of Year 12, the scholarship will lapse. Please note - if a student’s attendance rate falls below an acceptable level at any time during the duration of the scholarship, the scholarship may be withdrawn.
