Description

The Public Education Foundation’s Emorgo Scholarship for Music and Patricia Long Conservatorium High Scholarship were established to support talented musicians attend the Conservatorium High School. The scholarships are offered to students whose financial circumstances are such that they would substantially benefit from this scholarship.

The Emorgo Scholarship for Music will provide a payment of $5,000 to assist with expenses related to musical studies and education expenses. The scholarship is offered to a student entering Year 7 at the Conservatorium High School as a member of the Junior Vocal Stream or as an instrumentalist majoring in the study of a woodwind instrument OR existing Conservatorium High School students currently in Year 7, 8 or 9 who are majoring in woodwind or the French Horn.

BASIC ELIGIBILITY FOR THE EMORGO SCHOLARSHIP

  • Currently in Year 6 (in 2025) and has applied to commence Year 7 at the Conservatorium High School from 2025 OR
  • An existing Conservatorium High School student in Years 7, 8 or 9 in 2025 majoring in woodwind or the French Horn
  • Australian citizen or permanent resident

The Patricia Long Conservatorium High School Scholarship provides financial support in the amount of $2,500 for each year the student remains enrolled as a student at the Conservatorium High School. This is usually offered to a student entering Year 7 at the Conservatorium High School, but may be offered to a secondary student transferring into the Conservatorium from another high school.

BASIC ELIGIBILITY FOR THE PATRICIA LONG SCHOLARSHIP

  • Usually currently enrolled in Year 6 (in 2025) but can be a secondary student transferring to the Conservatorium
  • Applied to commence studies at the Conservatorium High School from 2026
  • Australian citizen or permanent resident

The scholarships are to cover musical and educational expenses such as: 

  • Purchase of a musical instrument relevant to their musical studies
  • Musical tuition
  • Uniforms and other equipment
  • Stationery and books
  • Laptop
  • Course or study related software
  • Printer
  • Excursions and camps

If a student leaves the Conservatorium High School, the scholarship will lapse. Any unspent monies at the end of the academic year of the scholarship period must be refunded to the Public Education Foundation scholarship fund.
